A Madliena man was yesterday charged with slightly injuring a journalist at the law courts on Monday.

Hugo Chetcuti, 36, pleaded not guilty to threatening, assaulting and pushing Super One journalist Joseph Mifsud at about midday.

He was also charged with damaging Mifsud's spectacles and breaching the peace.

He was granted bail against a Lm300 deposit, a personal guarantee of Lm1,300 and on condition that he does not approach Mifsud.

Police Inspector Pierre Micallef-Grimaud prosecuted.

Dr Joseph Giglio appeared for Chetcuti, while Dr Pawlu Lia represented Mifsud.
