A 62-year-old woman has been charged with defrauding another woman of over Lm1,000 when she took the money for a holiday that never materialised.

Antonia Borg, of Zebbug, pleaded not guilty to defrauding Lourdes Cachia, misappropriating the money and keeping Ms Cachia's passport.

Police Inspector Kevin Borg prosecuted.

Lawyer Franco Debono appeared for Ms Borg.
