A Gzira woman was yesterday charged with loitering for prostitution purposes and with the possession of heroin in circumstances denoting it was not for her personal use.

Doreen Bugeja, 31, was also charged with threatening a woman police sergeant and disobeying the police in the limits of Gzira on Tuesday. Ms Bugeja was remanded in police custody.

Police Inspector Dennis Theuma prosecuted. Lawyer Franco Debono appeared for Ms Bugeja who was arraigned before Magistrate Miriam Hayman.
