A 22-year-old man was yesterday charged with trafficking in ecstasy and being in possession of cannabis in August 2004.

John Degiorgio, from Senglea, was charged with trafficking in ecstasy and cannabis and being in possession of ecstasy and cannabis in circumstances denoting it was not for his exclusive use.

Magistrate Laurence Quintano heard Mr Degiorgio plead not guilty to the charges. Lawyer Jason Azzopardi was defence counsel.
