A young man was yesterday charged with stealing some Lm4,000 worth of antiques from his mother's house.

Eighteen-year-old Josef Al-Hariri, of St Julians, pleaded not guilty to stealing the antiques in August.

Police Inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted.

Lawyer Martin Fenech appeared for the young man.
