Activities marking Youth Day

The Diocesan Youth Commission is celebrating Youth Day today - along with young people from different dioceses from all over the world and celebrities including RISE, Ozzy Lino, SIGO, Romina Mamo, Ali & Lis and Aldo Busuttil.

This year the Commission is collaborating with the National Youth Council and the Youth Section from within the Ministry of Education, Youth and Employment.

Maltese youths who want to participate should meet in front of Birkirkara football club at 2.30 p.m. from where a procession will start.

One of the activities planned will be a discussion about youth participation in democracy, giving young people the chance to give their opinions and exchange their views on this subject.

Other activities include various workshops and stands related to youth and to the themes of this year's Youth Day.

The programme will continue into the evening with prayer, Mass, workshops and a big party to celebrate the day which will go on till midnight.

A bar will also be available at all times and after the evening transport home will be available for all localities at a fee of 75c. Entrance to all events is free.
