Alternattiva Demokratika is calling on all Maltese trade unions to form a common front in the face of the spate of redundancies.

Commenting on the General Workers' Union's forthcoming public activity aimed at raising awareness on the workers' right for work, AD's deputy chairman Mario Mallia said people with different political opinions should take this occasion to come together to show that the country was united on the issue of employment protection and the creation of new jobs.
