Inter's highly-rated Brazilian striker Adriano has extended his contract with the Serie A club for two years until 2010.

"I have signed until 2010... I will be old with white hair," he joked on the club's official TV station.

He said it was a "life choice" to prolong his stay in Milan.

Adriano, 23, scored a hat-trick for Inter in their first Serie A match of the season against Treviso last month. He then scored another hat-trick for Brazil in their 5-0 win over Chile earlier this month to secure the world champions' qualification for next year's World Cup finals.

He joined Inter from Brazilian club Flamengo in 2001 and scored on his debut in a friendly against Real Madrid but went on to spend three seasons on loan at Fiorentina and Parma before returning to Inter in 2004.
