Inter's Brazilian striker Adriano has responded to speculation that Real Madrid want him to be their next Galactico by saying that he would like to play for the Primera Liga side one day.

"Right now it would be very difficult for me because I'm a very important player for Inter," the 23-year-old said.

"I want to stay here and win a title and then maybe play at Real Madrid in the future.

"I'm very happy and thankful because he (Real Madrid president Florentino Perez) has got a soft spot for me and I hope that one day I'll be able to realise both his and my dream.

"He follows my games and you have to be grateful for that sort of interest. I can't close doors to anyone."

Adriano, top scorer in Brazil's victorious Copa America last year, has been in outstanding form for Inter, scoring 17 goals in the league this season and seven in the Champions League.

Real have Adriano's Brazil team-mate Ronaldo on their books and are in negotiations to sign Santos forward Robinho.

¤ Demetrio Albertini has joined Barcelona for the rest of the season after passing a medical yesterday. The Spanish league leaders are also on the verge of signing Argentine striker Maxi Lopez from River Plate to replace the injured Henrik Larsson, who is out for the season after tearing his knee ligaments in November. Albertini arrived in Barcelona on Monday after reaching an agreement to rescind his contract with Atalanta.
