AZAD, the Academy for the Development of a Democratic Environment, is offering a number of courses in its adult education programme this winter.

Antique Maltese Furniture is a course aimed at those wishing to discover the fascinating world of Maltese antiques. Two guided visits to the Museum of Fine Arts are included.

Courses with a focus on the business world have always been extremely popular and 'How to Look after Your Clients', is a new course aimed at individuals who come face to face with their clients on a regular basis.

A spokesman for AZAD said this course was expected to attract great interest as new concepts and ideas were introduced in a practical method. For those wanting to keep abreast with modern financial services and opportunities for new investments, there is the course 'Invest Wisely! It's your Money'.

For people who always look back on their decisions or others who may wish to learn more about thinking, a course in Dr Edward de Bono's Thinking Skills will also be held.

Other courses include 'Understanding our Children and Us in our Children's World.' These are aimed at parents, teachers and any one who works with children whether directly or indirectly. A course in the basic principles of interior decorating is also available.

The closing date for bookings is September 20. Due to the increasing demand, it is suggested that those interested contact AZAD on tel. 21 247515 or 21 234884 or email: info@azad-malta.com.
