An article entitled Marketing Of A Feast (August 24) highlighted the new way in which a traditional Maltese festa was being marketed. It referred to the feast of St Dominic in Vittoriosa whose organisers have issued a billboard with a shot of Fort St Angelo, which is synonymous with Vittoriosa, in the background and a picture of the statue of St Dominic on the right hand side. I would like to point out that the supporters of this feast have gone around our beloved city with T-shirts emblazoned with the words "Ahjar Bormlizi milli Palmizi", meaning it is much better to hail from Cospicua (Vittoriosa's neighbouring city and, to a certain extent, its rival) than to be supporters of the feast of St Lawrence (Vittoriosa's main feast that takes place on August 10).

All three cities in Cottonera have their good and bad sides but I did not expect that an attempt would be made to try to pull the crowds to this festa with a beautiful picture of Vittoriosa while at the same time saying it would be better to be from another Cottonera city!

Vittorjosani have always been taught that no matter where you live, in Malta or abroad, you will always be a Vittorjosan.
