Week Seven of the Middlesea League at the Eden SuperBowl saw previous week's leaders Aercomms suffer a 6-2 defeat at the hands of Royal Shock. That meant that Fina First's four-all draw against Ramis was enough to send the defending champions to the top.
PharmaVet were the only 8-0 winners of the week against Turu's Knights and there was a 6-2 result for Globalair Travel over The Clan, and a second tied match between HSBC and Inlusion.
Royal Shock are enjoying a fair level of success this season, lodged in third place. The Shockers won the first two games but Aercomms finally came round in the last of the set, easily taking it 744-846 but giving the series points and victory to their opponents by 24 pins (2,347-2,323).
Fina's 4-4 draw with Ramis was enough to put them in the top spot, although level with Aercomms on points. Fina's series win (2,323-2,252) was what forced the draw.
Bowlers of the week: Neil Sullivan (Globalair, 661); Sue Abela (Fina First, 578).
