AFM rescue man at sea off Fra Ben

CPD, police and medics assisted in the rescue mission

Armed Forces rescuers were deployed to Fra Ben on Tuesday to rescue a man who was out at sea and could not swim back to the shore.

The AFM said its rescue vessel Melita II rescued the man from the sea and handed him over to Civil Protection Department personnel on shore.

The police told Times of Malta they were informed about the man at around 4pm. Although an ambulance was called to the site and he was given first aid, the man refused further medical assistance.
