Agenzija Appogg, the social work agency, has signed a protocol with the Education Division and the Archdiocese of Malta through which the three entities have formally acknowledged their duty and responsibility to work together in protecting children.
The protocol specifies their respective roles in ensuring that a high standard of service is provided to vulnerable children.
The agency, through its Child Protection Service, the Education Division, through the Child Safety Services and the Church through the School Social Work Service, have over the years developed sound joint working practices.
They have been working in close collaboration on cases of child abuse with the aim of maximising work resources, but more importantly networking to avoid further trauma to the child by providing an efficient and effective service.
