Agricultural and Artisan Fair in Nadur
Event offered locally grown produce, handmade crafts and traditional food
Nadur local council recently held its annual Agricultural and Artisan Fair in the heart of the village. The event brought together members of the local community and visitors to celebrate Gozo’s agricultural, artisanal and cultural heritage.
This year’s fair featured a vibrant mix of attractions, including stalls with locally grown produce, handmade crafts, traditional Maltese food, live artisan demonstrations, cultural performances and exhibitions highlighting rural life and historical traditions. Visitors were also given the opportunity to immerse themselves in the beauty and authenticity of Gozo’s countryside and craftsmanship.
One of the highlights of the event was a record achievement by Grech’s Bakery – the largest ftira ever made, drawing large crowds and reviving a beloved culinary tradition.
The fair was made possible thanks to the support of the local council, the Gozo Regional Council, the Cultural Heritage Directorate – Ministry for Gozo and Planning and Grech’s Bakery. Their collective commitment to preserving and promoting local traditions was instrumental to the event’s success.
Nadur local council thanked all volunteers, participants and members of the community for their enthusiasm and dedication – which were the driving force behind this year’s fair.
