Air Malta and MIM sign commercial agreement

Air Malta and the Malta Institute of Management (MIM) signed a three-year commercial agreement that will further strengthen the existing ties between the National Airline and the Institute. Through this agreement both organisations will substantially benefit from each other's professional support.

MIM has long been a pioneer in the management development fields and Air Malta is eager to share these insights and experiences with its employees. Indeed, both organisations share a common goal - that of offering life-long learning opportunities to employees.

As a result of this agreement MIM will grant special rates for Air Malta employees wishing to enrol as students for the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Diploma in General Management of the Maastricht School of Management and other programmes offered by the Edinburgh Business School. MIM will also organise short courses and seminars for Air Malta. In return, Air Malta will be granted the title of Official Carrier of MIM.

Joe Cappello, Air Malta's Chief Operating Officer said that Air Malta had always enjoyed an excellent relationship with the MIM. "Our relationship, which dates back several years, has helped both organisations in their respective business activities.

"The personal development of our employees ranks highly on the airline's strategic agenda and every year Air Malta invests heavily in this area. This agreement is a clear commitment from Air Malta towards its employees, " he said.

Joseph Zammit, president of the Malta Institute of Management, said: "MIM would like to thank Air Malta for supporting the Institute and for helping it to grow. In fact the agreement has created win-win opportunities for the benefit of both parties."
