Payments due to Air Malta employees according to the company's restructuring plan will be given in May, according to an agreement reached yesterday between the airline and the General Workers' Union.

The agreement provides for workers represented by the GWU to be given a three per cent increase in their wages as from January.

Apart from this, workers will also get €2,250 with their May pay which is half a one-off sum they are to be given as part of the agreement.
