Air Malta’s Sky Spa, a free in-flight spa experience the airline launched for economy passengers this summer on flights to and from Gatwick, has earned the airline a place among Vogue’s 11 airlines with the best onboard amenities.

The Sky Spa includes hand, neck, and foot massages along with beauty product samples and the option to listen to soothing music while receiving the treatments.

"Let’s hope this almost unbelievable offering spreads to more airlines in the coming years," Vogue's travel section comments.

The other airlines mentioned included Virgin America for its partnership with Netflix allowing travellers the luxury of binge-watching at 35,000 feet, Emirate Airlines for its shower spa, Lufthansa for its in-flight humidifiers and Southwest for its singing flight attendants.

Other airline amenities include Air New Zealand’s Skycouch, Singapore Airlines’ Wedgwood china, personal mini bars on Etihad Airways, high-end beauty products on Jet Blue premium, Delta’s Porsche for gate transfer and Frette linens on Qatar Airways.
