Airport Consulting Vienna Gmbh had been engaged as a consultant by the Malta International Airport in July 1999 in connection with the Schengen system.

Economic Services Minister Josef Bonnici said the firm, one of Vienna International Airport plc`s consultancy companies, had been paid Lm19,133.

The minister was answering a question in parliament by Labour MP Leo Brincat.
