The Malta International Airshow confirmed itself as a major crowd-puller this afternoon, with thousands of people turning up at Luqa to take a close look at the range of aircraft on display.

They could feast their eyes on anything from flimsy microligths to heavy air refuelling tankers, small turboprop private aircraft to the cutting edge F-15s and Tornados. The flying display returned to the sky over Luqa this year after a two-year interruption caused by the building of new hangars for Lufthansa Tecknik.

The airshow continues tomorrow, when the gate opens at 10 a.m. The flying display starts at 1.30 p.m.
