Alex Borg tours San Blas, calls for support for those who suffer addictions

PN leader meets participants in the Caritas drug rehabilitation programmes

PN Leader Alex Borg visited the Caritas Malta Therapeutic Centre at San Blas on Wednesday and called for greater support for those suffering addictions.

"We need holistic solutions that safeguard and support anyone who may fall into addiction. Malta requires professional services, such as those provided by the dedicated team at Caritas Malta, offering personalised care to every resident," he was quoted as saying in a PN statement.

Borg was shown around by Caritas Director Anthony Gatt. He met several residents participating in the drug rehabilitation programme and had lunch with them.

At the end of the visit, Gatt presented the PN Leader with a copy of the book Inħobbkom, which recounts the life of Caritas founder Mgr Victor Grech.
