Alfred Sant will be heading Labour’s delegation in the European Parliament following Miriam Dalli’s resignation to become a national MP.

The Labour Party said on Thursday the unanimous decision was taken during a meeting of the party’s national executive.

A former Prime Minister, Sant led the PL for a number of years and has been serving as an MEP since 2014.
