I wish to repeat a suggestion I made last year that, through the TV programme L-Istrina, the opportunity be taken to set up an Animal Welfare Community Fund.

We (the public and Government) are collectively responsible for the existence of the stray animal population in Malta and collectively we should help support these poor, hapless, homeless creatures.
