Obituaries
CALLEJA. On May 24, Sr ANTOINETTA, OCD, a most loving sister, at the age of 90, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She is deeply mourned by her sister Carmelina, Elio and his wife Doreen, her sisters Sr Lidwina and Sr Alfreda, her brothers Eugenio and Guido, her sister-in-law Maria, wife of her brother Mario, and her nephews and nieces. The funeral Mass will take place tomorrow at 10am at St Margaret’s chapel, Cospicua. No flowers by request but donations to the Discalced Carmelite Nuns, St Margaret’s Monastery, Cospicua.Lord, grant her eternal rest.
JAMES. On May 22, MADELEINE, née Saliba, aged 89, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family. She will always be loved by her husband Derry, her daughter Jeannine and her husband Joe Giglio, her grandchildren Michaela, Mattea, Giorgia and Giacomo, her sister Violet De Marco, her brother John Saliba, her sisters-in-law Carmen and Renée Saliba, all her nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday, May 27, for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass to celebrate her life will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
