Obituaries
Benny MuscatMUSCAT. On May 26, BENNY, peacefully passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by all his family, leaving beautiful memories of a loving and dedicated father and grandfather. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved children Lara and Gordon, Ben and Nadine, his adored grandchildren Jake, Kane, Kate, Mia and Sienna, his brother and sisters, his nephews and nieces, dear relatives and numerous close friends here in Malta and abroad, and all the loving staff at La Buona Trattoria Del Nonno, St Paul’s Bay and Ta’ Marija, Mosta. The funeral Mass will be held tomorrow, Thursday, May 28, at 8am, at Our Lady of Sorrows parish church, St Paul’s Bay. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Santa Venera, will be appreciated. May the Lord grant him eternal rest. Special thanks to dad’s devoted carer Andrea, SAMOC, the doctor and nurse Helen Attard Bason, Hospice and the dedicated nurse Sarah, to the great SVDP Palliative team under the consultant, head nurses Daniel and Justin and all the incredible team. The doctors for always assisting dad, all the doctors, nurses and carers who made Benny’s last journey so comfortable and so full of love. He will be sorely missed.
VELLA. On May 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPHINE, of Kalkara, aged 93, passed peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Lenny and his wife Anne, Marianne, Victor and his partner Jackie, Gino and his wife Patricia, Bernardette, and Martin and his fiancée Margaret, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, May 28, for Santa Liberata, Capuchins Church, Kalkara where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

DARMANIN – JOE. Cherished and unforgettable memories of a much loved husband, father and grandfather on the fourth anniversary of his meeting with the Lord. So sadly missed by his wife Anne Marie, Edward and Elizabeth, Philippa and John Said and Carol Smith and his treasured grandchildren whom he loved dearly. May he rest in eternal peace.
