Obituaries

CACHIA ZAMMIT. On May 25, TERESA, aged 95, was called to eternal life, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Margaret Culley, her nephews and nieces Kathryn, John, John Andrew, Anna, David and their spouses, her grand and great-grand nephews and nieces, all her other relatives and friends and her devoted carer Yuvi. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital, tomorrow, Friday, May 29, for St Peter in Chains parish church, Birżebbuġa, where the funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Żejtun cemetery. May she rest in the peace of the Lord.

FENECH. On May 22, FRANCO of Portomaso, St Julian’s, aged 47, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He will be forever loved and cherished by his wife Barbara, his son Thomas, his beloved mother Patricia. widow of George, his brother Yorgen, his niece and nephew, his grandma Ġuża, widow of Tumas, all his aunties and uncles and their respective spouses, cousins, other relatives and friends. He now rejoins his father George, his grandpa Tumas, beloved grandma Mary and grandpa Frank, auntie Carmen and uncle Angelo. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow, Friday, May 29, at 3pm at Mary Immaculate Mother of the Church, Tal-Ibraġ. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

SCERRI. On May 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANNIE of Rabat, widow of Paul, aged 91, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters, Marisa and Silvana and her son Edwin and his wife Doris; her granddaughters Michaela and her husband Luca and Martina and her husband John; her brothers John and Paul of Australia and her sister Mary, her in-laws Vivi, Georgina and Doris, her nephews and nieces and their families, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Friday, May 29, at 3pm, for St Dominic church, Rabat, where Mass will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MIFSUD. Six years ago we lost JOSEPH, known as Roy. He is very much loved and sorely missed by his wife Joan, his sons Mark Anthony, David and his wife Karin and his granddaughters Lisa and Carla. Please remember him in your prayers.

JOANNA XUEREB, née PANZAVECCHIA (8th June 1945 - 28th May 2016). 10th anniversary since she left us to meet The Risen Lord. Though her smile is gone forever; And her hand we cannot touch; We'll hold on to all the memories; Which we treasure very much. Her memory is our keepsake; With which we'll never part; God has her in His keeping; We have her in our heart. Cherished memories of a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Sadly missed by her husband Lino, her children Ramona and her husband Kevin, Gerald and his wife Mine, and her grandchildren Nicholas, Timothy and Mira. May she rest in peace.
