Obituaries

BASON. On April 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, LUCIENNE, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband John, her beloved mother Antoinette, her sisters Anne Marie and Rosanne, her brother Albert, and their spouses, her brother-in-law Charles, her nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow, Friday, April 10, at 8am, at St Joseph parish church, Msida. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, and Puttinu Cares would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. Special thanks to Mater Dei and Oncology staff for their care and dedication.

CONRAD. On April 7, HERBERT, aged 84, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Forever loved and remembered by his wife Eileen, his children Christoph, Michael, Klaus, Martin, Maria and Elisabeth, and their respective spouses, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, his in-laws and their families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, April 11, at 7.30am, for Balzan parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am followed by interment at Balzan cemetery. Donations to Hospice Malta, St Venera, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

PACE. On April 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, GEORGE, aged 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He will always be loved by his loving wife Maricca, his children Vladimir and his wife Lizianne, Nureyev and his wife Stephanie, his granddaughters Ylenia, Emma and Mara, his brothers and sisters and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Friday, April 10, for St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun, where mass to celebrate his life will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

SULLIVAN. On April 7, ERNEST, founder and CEO of Sullivan Maritime Ltd, aged 63, passed away peacefully after a long illness borne with exemplary Christian fortitude, fortified by the sacraments of Holy Church and surrounded by the devoted love of his family. He leaves to mourn his deeply cherished and irreparable loss his beloved wife Odelle, his sons Nigel and Karl and his wife Bettina, Odelle’s children, his brothers and sisters, in-laws, nephews and nieces, as well as the directors, management and staff and their families of Sullivan Maritime Limited, whom he regarded as an extension of his family. Funeral details will be announced at a later date. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, St Venera, would be appreciated. The family expresses its profound and heartfelt gratitude to all his doctors, medical staff and carers for their tireless dedication and compassionate care, as well as to all those who accompanied him with their prayers, support and friendship throughout his illness, as his soul is tenderly commended to the infinite mercy of God and the loving embrace of the Divine Mercy.

In Memoriam

AQUILINA. In loving memory of LOUIS, today the fifth anniversary of his passing. Deeply missed by his wife Carmen, his son Keith, his daughter Elaine, her husband Kyle and their son Logan, relatives and friends. Never forgotten, always in our hearts. Rest in peace.

BORG – ANTHONY PAUL. On the 14th year of his demise. Never a thought away for you, never a prayer forgotten. Sorely missed Tony, by Antoinette, Geraldine Joanna, David and Melanie, granddaughters Zoe and Cora, sister, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.

RANSLEY – LAURA. In loving memory of a beloved wife and mother, today, April 9, the 10th anniversary of her demise. Very much missed and always remembered by her husband and family. Forever in our hearts and always in our thoughts and prayers.

SANSONE. In loving memory of PAUL, today the 19th anniversary of his passing away. His wife, brothers, sisters, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Please remember him in your daily prayers. Lord, grant him eternal rest. The 6.30pm Mass being said today at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, is being offered for his soul.
