Obituaries

BALUCI. On July 31, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA, née Pace Cole, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved daughters Claire, Nicole and her husband Alun, her cherished grandchildren Chrysten and Nicolas, her in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and numerous friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for Santa Maria parish church, Attard, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, and Puttinu Cares would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

HORZELLA. On July 22, ROGER, aged 81, passed away suddenly after a short illness. He leaves to mourn his loss his three daughters Zoe, Katia and Anouchka, his grandchildren Amelia, Joseph and Aidan, his sister Patricia, his nieces, and other relatives and friends. Interment takes place today at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. May he rest in peace.

LASPINA. On July 31, MARLENE, aged 73, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She will forever be remembered by her daughter Sarah, her partner Jean and Kayden, her brothers Anthony Guillaumier, widower of Yvette Guillaumier, John Guillaumier, and Renate, widow of Paul Guillaumier, nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 4, at 1.30pm, at the Kunċizzjoni church, Ħamrun. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

In Memoriam

BOFFA. In loving memory of JOSEPH, Il-Profs, on the 13th anniversary of his passing. Very much missed and forever in our hearts and prayers. Lord, grant him eternal rest. Pauline, Lara and Nadia and Sir Paul Boffa’s family and relatives in Malta and overseas.

FARRUGIA. In loving memory of LYNETTE, née Mifsud, on the 11th anniversary of her passing. Always in our thoughts and prayers. Fr Christopher, OFM, John, Celine, Elisabeth, in-laws, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A prayer is solicited. May she rest in peace, Amen.

FRENDO – JOE. On his 54th anniversary, 1.8.1971. Always so lovingly remembered by his children Henri and Margaret, M’Rose and David, Michael and Irene and all the family.

GALEA CURMI – JOSETTE. Fond and grateful memories of a loving mother and sister, today the 25th anniversary of her passing away to a better life. In 2007 her husband Paul joined her in everlasting life. We miss you both greatly, but the love and faith you shared live on in the hearts of all whom you touched by your life. Their children and families, her brothers and their families. There will be a Mass celebrating their life today, August 2, at 7pm at Bon Pastur church, Balzan.

GULIA – ALAN SALVADOR. In fond remembrance of our dear brother on the third anniversary of his passing away. Forever in our thoughts and prayers. Kenneth, Gavin and his wife Fleur and his cherished niece and nephew Martina and Luigi. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

PORTELLI. Treasured memories of our dear Saviour (Limps) on the 20th anniversary of his passing away. Always greatly missed. Marguerite, Andrew and Debbie, Simon, and grandchildren, Thomas, Luisa, Matthew, Andrea, Timmy, Michael, Agneska, Kaya, Mila.
