CASAPINTA. On August 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMELINA (Neni), aged 92, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister, Sr Rose, FMM, her nephews and niece, Lino Casapinta and his wife Frances, Marisa Camilleri and her husband Anton, Joseph Casapinta and his wife Maria and Tanya, widow of Tonio Casapinta, the community of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary and the Franciscan Conventual Friars of Valletta, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday, August 29, at 1.30pm, for St Francis church, Republic Street, Valletta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SCIBERRAS. On August 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, GEORGE, better known as Ta’ Kelment, aged 66, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Monica, his children Anabel and her husband Antoine, and Alexia and her husband Ndubisi, his grandchildren Andre, Destiny, Isaiah and Melody, his brothers and sisters, among whom Grace, in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, August 28, at 9.30am for St Helen’s Basilica where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 10am followed by interment in the family grave at the Mosta cemetery. VELLA. On August 24, CHARLES, of Naxxar and residing in St Julian’s, aged 88, former Ambassador for Malta, passed away peacefully in his sleep comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his much beloved wife Loida, née Sarmiento, his only son Kenneth, his sister Evelyn, his sister-in-law Lily, widow of his brother John, his nephews and nieces, his other relatives and in-laws spread out on three continents. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 8.15am tomorrow, August 28, for Our Lady of Victories church, Naxxar, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45am followed by interment at the Naxxar cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Poor Clares, of St Julian’s, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
