Obituaries

CAMILLERI. On December 15, LILIAN, née Sullivan, at the venerable age of 100, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Forever loved and remembered by her son Gerard and his wife Louise, her grandchildren Andrew and his wife Rachel, Fay and her husband Jonathan, her treasured great-grandchildren Hannah, Julia, Zak and Zara, her sister-in-law Lina Sullivan, her nephews and nieces, her dedicated carer Mila, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, December 18, at 8.15am, for St Julian’s parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

FAIRCLOUGH. On December 15, GRAHAM, of Gudja, aged 80, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his son Nicholas, his daughter Stella, his brother Fr Trevor Fairclough, his sister Beatrice, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass to celebrate his life will be held today, Wednesday, at 3.30pm, at St Mary’s parish church, Gudja, followed by interment in the family grave at Gudja cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

VALLETTA. On December 15, CARLO, aged 91, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Eileen, his daughters, grandchildren, his brother-in-law and his brother Paul. Funeral Mass will be held at St Julian’s parish church on Friday, December 19, at 1.30pm. May he rest in peace.

BRINCAT – GODFREY. Treasured memories of a beloved father and grandfather on the 50th aniversary of his demise. His sons Fr Joe, Fr Paul, Henry and his wife Maria, grandchildren Ivan and his wife Giulia, Ruth and her husband Robert Micallef and their families.

CALLEJA – IMELDA. In loving memory of a devoted, loving mother who passed away eight years ago. May you rest in peace in God’s everlasting light with pa, Julian and our brother, Arnold. Time dulls the pain, but your absence is still keenly felt. Still deeply missed by her children and families Rupert and Lorraine, Edelweiss and Peter Ferry, and her grandchildren, Ryan, Bianca, Nicholas, Kimberley, Kieran and Nigel. May Our Lord grant her eternal peace in His loving presence.

GULIA – Judge Emeritus OLIVER JOHN GULIA. In loving memory of our dear father on the ninth anniversary of his demise. Ever in our thoughts and prayers. Your sons Kenneth, Gavin and his wife Fleur, and your loving grandchildren Martina and Luigi. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MERCIECA – TANCRED. In loving memory of our dear papà. Always in our thoughts and prayers, especially today his 21st anniversary. Please remember him in yours. May he rest in peace. Johanna and Caroline and their families.

MICALLEF BORG – TONY. A beloved husband and dedicated father so sadly missed but forever in our hearts and memories. Margaret, Elena, Adrienne, in-laws and grandchildren. Rest in peace.

MICALLEF BORG. Unfading memories of our beloved TONY on the 47th anniversary of his tragic loss. So sadly missed by his sisters, in-laws, nephews and nieces.

OLIVIERI. In loving memory of our dearest LOUIS, on the forthcoming third anniversary of his passing away to eternal life, 21.12.2022. So deeply missed. Forever loved and treasured by his wife Elizabeth, his beloved mother Marie Louise, his sisters Josette and Brigid, his in-laws, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Lord, grant him eternal rest. Mass for the repose of his soul will be said on Sunday, December 21, at 11.30am, at the Divine Mercy Sanctuary, Naxxar. A prayer is solicited.

PETRONI. In loving memory of ANNE on the 15th anniversary of her demise. Sadly missed by her son Stephen, Ann and grandchildren Julian and Nicola. May she rest in peace.

ROSSIGNAUD. In sweet memory of our dearest mother HELEN, née Casolani, on the 73rd anniversary of her meeting with the Lord. Always in our thoughts and prayers. Her children Margaret, Martin, Edgar, Helen, M’Louise, in-laws, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gone but never forgotten.

In loving memory of a dear mother and grandmother EMMANUELA ZAMMIT (17.12 1914 - 17.12 2013). Fondly remembered and never forgotten by her son Joseph and his wife Nathalie and beloved grandchildren Alastair and Carolyn. A prayer is solicited.

Philip and Andrew Galea, Helen and David Valenzia and their respective families would like to thank Fr Paul Mizzi for celebrating the funeral Mass of ROSEMARIE GALEA who passed away on November 11, 2025. The family would also like to thank the relatives and friends who attended the Mass, sent flowers, cards, charitable donations and offered prayers and Masses for the repose of her soul. May she rest in peace.
