Obituaries

BARTOLO.  On December 14, at his residence in Mosta, ROGER WINSTON, aged 82, passed away suddenly to be reunited with his parents and brother Leo. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Nana, his brother Clive and partner Kurt, his sister-in-law Carmeline, his nieces Gretel and her husband Nissim, Glenda and other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, December 20, at 7.45am for the Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady, Mosta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request, but donations to any animal sanctuary will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

FARRUGIA. On December 14, MARY ROSE, aged 81, passed away peacefully after a long illness bravely borne. Loved and remembered by her brother Joe, his wife Carol, her in-law John Tabone, nephews, nieces and cousins. A Mass to celebrate her life will be said on Saturday, December 20, at 8.45am, at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. May she rest in peace.

MUSCAT. On December 15, TANIA, née Xerri, aged 78, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Caroline, her beloved grandson Michael, her sisters Marthese and Pauline, her brother Albert and his wife Irene, her cousin David and his wife Josette, their respective families, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Friday, December 19, at 2pm for the parish church of St Mary, Attard, where mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Marija Addolorata cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

BUTLER – DIANA ANNE, Lady Diana Butler, née Borg (December 29, 1937-June 20, 2025). Lovingly remembered by her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends. Masses for the repose of her soul will be offered on Sunday, December 28, at 6.30pm, at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, and on Monday, December 29, at 6.30pm, at the Carmelite parish church, Balluta Bay.

DE GAETANO. In loving memory of our dearest father GEORGE, today being the 14th anniversary of his passing to eternal life. He is fondly remembered by his children Joanna and her husband Alfred, Roger and his wife Gillian, Edward and Daniela. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren.

LEONE-GANADO. In loving memory of JOSETTE on the 16th anniversary of her demise. Fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband Philip and Shirley, her children Alexia and Julian, Philip A, Chiara and Kristina, her grandchildren Lucia, Alex and Pippa and her mother Violet Depares. Masses for the repose of her soul will be celebrated today at St John of the Cross parish church, Ta’ Xbiex. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

ANTHONY H. CAMILLERI - On the 14th anniversary of his passing to eternal life.
