OBITUARIES

BORG. On February 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARCELLE, née Zammit, of Guardamangia, aged 78, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She will be sorely missed by her husband Paul, her son Steve and his wife Nikki, her beloved grandson Thomas, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow, Saturday, February 7, at 8am, at Our Lady of Fatima Sanctuary, Guardamangia, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

Lord, grant her eternal rest.

FARRUGIA RANDON. On February 5, PHILIP, aged 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. His love, warmth, laughter, fun and compassion will never be forgotten by all, most especially by his precious most adored wife Helen, his dearest most special daughter Philipa, his cherished darling grandsons Luke and Ben, his sister Marisa and Stephen, his brother Martin and Moira, and his in-laws Marilise and Joe, Helen, widow of Colin, Monica and Peter, Sandra, widow of Vincent, Patricia and Godwin, Francis and Anne, Anna and Martin and his many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, February 7, for St Julians parish church where Mass to celebrate his life will be said at 11am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Cemetery, Xewkija, Gozo.

Lord, grant him eternal rest.

SANT. On February 5, at Dar il-Madonna tal-Mellieħa, JOHN, aged 90, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Juanita, Elania, Ines, André, Valeria and their respective families, his brothers and in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, February 9, at 7.45am, for Mosta parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

IN MEMORIAM

BORG – JOSEPH ALBERT. In loving memory of a dearest father, grandfather and great-grandfather on the 12th anniversary of his passing away. Greatly missed by his children John, George, Mia and Carole and their respective families. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

ESPOSITO. Cherished and unfading memories of our dear mother YVONNE on the ninth anniversary of her passing away. Always in our thoughts and prayers. Marisa, Ivan, and Roberta and their families. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

SCHEMBRI WISMAYER – BARBARA. In loving memory of our dear mother on the second anniversary of her demise. Always loved and so deeply missed by her children Mark, David, Marthese, Denise and their respective partners, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is forever in our hearts and prayers. May the Lord grant her eternal rest. A Mass for the repose of her soul will be held at the parish of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, Mother of the Church, Tal-Ibraġ, this evening at 6.30.

WRIGHT – ANGELE. On the first anniversary of her death. Lovingly remembered by her sisters, Sr Lucienne Cachia and Toots Birch (Marie-Therese), nephew Carl and niece Sasha and their family. Rest in peace.

In loving memory of Notary JOSEPH SPITERI on the 10th anniversary of his passing away. Deeply missed and fondly remembered by his children, Tonio and his wife Liliana, Nello and his wife Amanda, Rita and her husband Paul Miller, Marisa and her husband Alan Miller and John and his wife Roanne. The 11.30am mass on Sunday the 8th February 2026 at the Divine Mercy Sanctuary in San Pawl tat-Tarġa, will be offered for his repose.
