Obituaries
BUTTIGIEG. On January 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, LILIAN of Siġġiewi, residing in Mtarfa, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Joseph, her children Ray and his partner Simone, Monica and her husband Paul, her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their families, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, January 7, at 2.30pm, for St Nicholas parish church, Siġġiewi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Siġġiewi cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Moviment Missjunarju Ġesù fil-Proxxmu, Victoria, Gozo, will be greatly appreciated.

FENECH. On January 3, EMANUEL, aged 86, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He will be deeply missed by his beloved children, Frank, Denise and Stefan, his in-laws and his precious grandchildren, Clarissa, Michael, Rebecca, Keith, Nicole and Rebekah, other relatives and many friends.
The funeral cortège leaves his residence on Saturday, January 10, for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.45am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
Lord, grant him eternal rest.
JACOBS. On January 3, FELICITAS RENATE, aged 94, passed away peacefully at Dar l-Annunzjata, Tarxien. She will be deeply missed by her family and close friends from Malta and Germany.
A Mass celebrating Felicitas’s life will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, January 7, at 2.30pm, at All Souls church, Tarxien.
MUSCAT. On December 31, EMANUEL (Lolly), aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He will always be loved and cherished by his wife Emilia, his children René and his wife Sue, Désirée and Yves, his grandchildren Jordan, Gilles, Isaac and Jacques, his brother Victor, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, January 7, for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass to celebrate his life will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares are appreciated.

SPITERI. On January 5, at Roseville Home, GEORGE (former violinist and leader of the Manoel Theatre Orchestra), aged 90, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Doris, his nieces Marlene and Tonio, Dorianne and Stephen, his great-nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral cortège leaves Roseville tomorrow, Wednesday, January 7, for the church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Valletta where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 10am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated.

VELLA. On January 4, at Balzan Convent, Sr TARCISIA of the Sisters of Charity, aged 90, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Lord. She leaves to mourn her loss the congregation, her relatives and friends.
Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today, Tuesday, January 6, at 9.30am, at the convent chapel, 55, Birbal Street, Balzan, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

ABELA – MARIA ELENA (Mariella) née Refalo. Treasured memories of a very beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was called to eternal life seven years ago. So dearly loved, will always be remembered and so deeply missed. Our prayerful thoughts, her daughters Jocelyne and her husband Willem, Caroline and her husband Andrew, her grandchildren, Michael, Nadine, Amanda, Fiona and Lisa, and her great-granddaughters Mia, Clara, Amber and Sasha.
ATTARD. In loving memory of our dear parents JOSEPH and CARMEN who passed to eternal life 28 years (28.10.1997) and one year (6.1.2025) ago, respectively. Always in our hearts and prayers.
