Obituaries

AVELLINO. On July 10, LILIAN, née Drago, passed away peacefully. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Simon, Martin and Adrian, her sister Vivian, her nephews and nieces, grandchildren, in-laws and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday, July 15, for Balzan parish church, where Mass to celebrate her life will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

BORG OLIVIER de PUGET. ROSE MARY, of Balzan, known affectionately as Cherry, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Lord at the age of 95, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her cousins of the paternal Borg Olivier family, her cousins of the maternal Lowell family, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège will leave Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, July 14, at 8am for the parish church of Our Lady of the Annunciation, Balzan, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the staff at Casa Antonia (Balzan) and Mater Dei Hospital for the tender loving care shown to her. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CARUANA. On July 10, ANTHONY, aged 97, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church, to be reunited with his beloved wife and soulmate, Cettina. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved children Josephine and her husband Peter Mayo, Sylvia, widow of Vincent Muscat, and Maurice and his wife Carmen. He is also mourned by his six grandchildren Roberta, Annemarie, Lorraine, Cecilia, Andrew and Erica and their respective spouses, and his five great-grandchildren Michael, Fabio, Evelyn, Luca and Mattia, his three sisters and their families, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence on Tuesday, July 14, at 9.30am, for Christ the King Basilica, Paola, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 10am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family would like to thank all the staff at St Vincent de Paul Residence and at Karen Grech Hospital for their care and dedication during these past months. Dear Lord, hold him in your loving arms.

Obituary ALFRED DALLI On July 10, at St Vincent de Paul residence, ALFRED of Valletta, residing at Żebbuġ, aged 73, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Josephine, his children Neville, Mark and Maria, their spouses, his grandchildren, in-laws, other relatives, former colleagues at Allied Newspapers Ltd and friends. Funeral Mass will be said on Wednesday, July 15, at 8am, at St Philip’s parish church, Żebbuġ, followed by interment at St Andrew’s Cemetery, Żebbuġ. Lord, grant him eternal rest

AQUILINA. In sweet remembrance of ALFRED who went to meet the Risen Lord four weeks ago. A Mass for the repose of his soul will be said at 11.30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel church, Paceville. Always in our prayers and never forgotten. His best friend Freda.

BONELLO – LINO. In memory of a much loved father and grandfather, today being the 10th year of his passing to eternal life. May the Lord grant him eternal peace. Mirelle, Anne Marie and family.

GUILLAUMIER – SAVIOUR. In loving memory of a dear father on the 33rd anniversary of his death. Never forgotten by his sons Tony, widower of Yvette, John, Renate, widow of his son Paul, his grandchildren Jonathan, Gordon, Lara, Colette and Sarah, relatives and friends. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

PACE-BONELLO – RINA. Remembered with much love and affection always, July 16 being the 15th anniversary of her passing away to eternal life. Still sorely missed and always in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Brian and Jane, Anna and Bernd, Pat, widow of her son Henry, and her granddaughters Christine, Marlene and Tara. Rest in peace.
