Obituaries
MICALLEF. On July 2, DOLORES, aged 85, passed away peacefully. Forever loved and remembered by her husband Ċensu, her daughters Marthese and her husband Joe, Carmeline, her siblings and their respective spouses, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, July 7, at 2.30pm for St Paul’s Basilica, Rabat, where mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 3.30pm followed by interment in the family grave at Burmarrad cemetery. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.
PORTANIER. On July 3, CARMEN (née Vella), born in Sliema, singer, presenter and actress, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved son Reuben and his wife Pamela, her grandchildren Bettina and Beppe, her partner Alfred Galea, her brother Anthony Vella and his wife Mary, her sister Marierite and her husband Joseph Lupi, her brother Martin Vella and his wife Carmen, her sister Josette and her husband Joseph Formosa, her nephews Chris, Daniel, Chan, Ramon, Andre, Alexander, Peter, James, Jeremy and Benjamin, and her nieces Vanessa, Sarah, Rodelita, Jeanette, Andrea, Annika and Audrey, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, July 7, for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where mass to celebrate her life will be said at 9am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff at the ITU, Mater Dei and St Vincent de Paul for their care and dedication. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

SCICLUNA – WINIFRED, née Mahoney. On the first anniversary of her meeting the Risen Lord, a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
