Obituaries
CALLEJA. On June 27, EVELYN, née Agius Ferrante, widow of Ferdinand, passed away peacefully at the age of 101. She leaves to mourn her great loss her daughters Marguerite, Anna and Maria Pia, their beloved families, other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held privately. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated.May the Lord grant her eternal rest.
GATT. On July 4, at her residence in Żebbuġ, our dearest MARIA YVONNE, née Bonello, widow of Joe, aged 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Joe, widower of Victoria, her sister Vanna, her sister Phyllis and her husband Philip Agius, her brother Alex and his wife Bessie, her brother Tonio and his wife Magdalene, as well as her husband’s family living in Canada, her nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends, and her helper Joyce Mercado.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, July 9, for St Philip’s parish church, Żebbuġ, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8am, followed by interment in the family vault at Sant’Andrija Cemetery, Żebbuġ. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated.
May she rest eternally with You, dear Lord.
GRIMA. On Sunday, July 6, JOSEPH R. (ex-head of the Public Service), aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Joseph will be forever loved and cherished by his wife Josephine, née Sultana, his children Christopher and his wife Mateja, Roberta and her partner Michael, Simon and his wife Laura, his grandchildren Hannah, Emma and her husband Anthony, Timothy, Nicholas and Kyra, his sister Rose Lapira, his brothers Eman and Victor and other relatives and friends.
The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital, tomorrow, Wednesday, July 9, at 8.15am, for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.45am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolarata Cemetery.
May the Lord grant him eternal rest.
The family wish to thank the doctors and staff at Mater Dei Hospital, as well as the management and staff of The Imperial, Sliema, for their care and dedication over the past few weeks.
CAMILLERI. On July 4, EVELYN, née Borg, of Marsascala, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She now rejoins her husband Joseph and her son Norman and leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Maria and her husband Mark, Joanne and her husband Mark, and Claire, her only grandson André, her brothers Eddie and his wife Marilyn, Eric and his wife Tessie, her sister-in-law Carmen widow of Salvu, her nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, July 9,for Marsascala parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Donations to Dar Bjorn, Żebbuġ, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
