Obituaries
BORG. On June 11, MARY, née Zerafa, of Mosta, residing at Casa Arkati, aged 83, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters Lilian and Catherine, her sisters and brother-in-law Carmen, Emma and Dione, her nieces and nephews, Catherine, Michael, Kevin, Adrian, Alex, Stephen, David, Simone, Christopher and Nadia, their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Friday, June 19, at 7.30am, for the Sanctuary Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady, Mosta (Rotunda church), where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Mosta cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family would like to thank all the staff at Casa Arkati for the care shown towards their beloved Mary.
Paula MicallefMICALLEF. On June 13, PAULA, aged 60, passed away unexpectedly in the arms of her loving husband Michael. She will always be loved by her daughter Michaela and her partner Nicholas, her sisters Karen, Michelle and Joanne, her sisters-in-law Dr Marcelle and Nadia, their families, her parents-in-law Max and Doris, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, June 20, for Tal-Ibraġ parish church where Mass to celebrate her life will be said at 10am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. In honour of Paula’s vibrant spirit and her love of style and colour, attendees are kindly asked to wear colour instead of black. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Santa Venera, are greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
ZAMMIT TABONA – BENJAMIN, March 29, 1973-June 2026. We are heartbroken to announce the news of Ben’s sudden demise in Essaouira, Morocco. He will be sorely missed by his father, Barty, and Val, his sister Shara, his brother-in-law Andrew, and his much loved niece and nephew, Francesca and Oliver, as well as his extended family and many friends from all over the world. A further announcement will be made confirming a date for his funeral in July. May he rest in eternal peace.

AMATO – VICTOR. Remembering him with love and gratitude especially today, the 33rd anniversary of his passing. We will never forget his words of wisdom and gentle ways. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All Masses said today at St Patrick’s church, Sliema, will be offered for the repose of his soul.
GILI. Most treasured and unfading memories of our beloved father GUIDO on the 55th anniversary of his demise. Fondly remembered and sadly missed by Edgar and Connie, Simone and Nadya and their families. Forever in our thoughts and prayers.
GRECH – LICIA, née Cauchi. Fond memories of a very beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother especially today, the ninth anniversary of her passing to eternal life. Forever in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Lord, grant her eternal rest. Her children Mario, Karl, Henri, Mariella, Jan, Nadya and their respective families.
