Obituaries
BRUNO OLIVIER. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, MODESTA, sive MAUD, (1926-2025), who departed this life peacefully in her sleep on June 19, to meet the Risen Lord at the age of 99. She will always be loved and cherished by her children, Victor and his wife Aida, Elizabeth and Graziella; her grandchildren, their spouses and partners, her great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Casa Antonia, Balzan, on Wednesday, June 25, for St Mary’s parish church, Attard, where Mass to celebrate her life will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave in Attard. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.
BUTLER. DIANA ANNE on June 20th, aged 87 years, of Qala, Gozo and Ballintemple, Co Carlow, Ireland on Friday 20th. A mass will be held on Monday, June 23rd at 4pm at Immaculate Conception Church of Our Lady tal-Hondoq, Qala.
CAMILLERI. On June 19, GEORGE, of Benefit Shoe Stores, from Valletta, aged 88, passed away peacefully and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He will always be loved and cherished by his wife Hilary, his son Adrian and his wife Giselle, his daughter Liz and her husband Sean, his grandchildren Leah, Marcus, Evie, Archie, Henry and Atticus, his surviving siblings Thomas, David, Mary and Tony, his in-laws Alan and Christine, all their families, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, June 24, at 8.15am for St Paul’s Shipwreck parish church, Valletta, where Mass to celebrate his life will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. The family would appreciate if instead of flowers, donations are made to Id-Dar tal-Providenza. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.

Both are deeply missed and fondly remembered by their son Fr George J. Frendo, daughters Maria, Joy, Elizabeth and her husband Gino Camilleri, Antoinette and her husband Joseph Camilleri, their grandchildren George Joseph, Malcolm George and his wife Maria Camilleri Pisani, Maria Chiara and her husband Michael Cauchi, Anthony John, Francis James and Gabriella Vella, and George Charles, and their great-grandchildren Carina and Aurora.
