Obituary

MICALLEF. On May 28, CARMELINE (former teacher at Guardian Angel Special School, Ħamrun), aged 84, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She will always be loved and remembered by her husband Gaetan, her children Hermann and his wife Louise, Robert and his wife Diane, her nieces and nephew Greta, Rebecca, Adam and Emma, as well as other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital, tomorrow, Thursday, June 4, for Balzan parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment at Balzan cemetery. The family would appreciate if instead of flowers, donations are made to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi. May the Lord grant her eternal rest, and may she be reunited in heaven with her beloved daughter Rachel, who passed away 11 months ago. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, carers and all other staff members at Kristu Re Block – Ward 2, St Vincent de Paul residence, for their dedicated service and support over the past seven months.

LANFRANCO – EDWIN. In loving memory, on the first anniversary of his passing. Always in our thoughts. His family.

PORTELLI. In loving memory of VANESSA, née Sullivan, on the first anniversary of her passing on June 4, 2025. Deeply missed by her husband Simon, her children Andrea and Timmy, her parents Edith and John, her mother-in-law Marguerite, her siblings Mandi and Matthew and their respective spouses, in-laws, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and countless friends. Mass for the repose of her soul will be celebrated tomorrow, Thursday, June 4, at 6.30pm at The Crypt, Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, Naxxar. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.
