OBITUARIES

BONELLO BIANCO. On March 13, LUCIANO, aged 72, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Reunited again in Heaven with his beloved wife Connie. He will be forever loved and remembered by his children Anna, Cinzia and Joseph, his grandchildren Beppe, Giulia, Jayden, Benjamin, Pearl, and Samuel, Brendon and Melanie, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège will leave Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday, March 18, at 11.30am. The cortège will proceed to Valletta, stopping near Luciano Restaurant at noon. The cortège will then head to Luciano al Porto Boutique Accommodation, and continue on to St Publius church, Floriana, where Mass præsente cadavere will be held at 1pm. Interment will take place in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CALLEJA. On March 11, EDMEA, aged 87, passed away peacefully. She leaves to mourn her loss, her daughter Sylvana and her partner Joe, her son Sergio and his partner Inna, her precious grandchildren Timothy and his spouse, Thomas, Sergio, Piero and their partners, Michelle, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, March 17, at 1.30pm, for the collegiate parish church of St Paul Shipwrecked, Valletta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family would like to express their gratitude to the consultant cardiologists for all their care and support.

DELIA. On March 12, EMILY, née Pace, widow of Perit Edwin Delia, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved daughter Christine and her husband Philip von Brockdorff, her sons Philip and his wife Marica, Andrew and Robert and his wife Vanessa; her treasured grandchildren Bettina and her husband John Spiteri Maempel, Bernard, Nicola, Nikolai, Alexandra, Sarah, Rebecca and Rachelle, as well as her great-granddaughter Beatrice. She also leaves to mourn her loss her sister Doris, wife of Victor Vella, and her sisters-in-law, Lilian, widow of Anthony Pace, Marianne, widow of Walter Delia, Phyllis, widow of Paul Muscat and Yvonne Delia. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Monday, March 16, for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Santa Venera, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GAUCI. On March 13, GERTIE, ex-primary teacher at St Joseph School, Blata l-Bajda, aged 88, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family. She will always be loved and cherished by her husband Joseph, her children Stephanie and her husband Joseph, Mark and his wife Daniela, her precious grandchildren Nicole and her husband Anton, Luke and his partner Sam, her beloved sister Sr Georgina, her in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Casa Antonia, Balzan, tomorrow, Monday March 16, for the Basilica of Christ the King, Paola, where Mass to celebrate her life will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Casa Antonia, Balzan and Hospice Malta for all the support and care shown during this challenging time. Donations to Hospice Malta are greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

ARRIGO – RALPH. Went to meet the Risen Lord on March 15, 1993. Treasured memories of a dear husband, father and grandfather on the 33rd anniversary of his death. We hold you in our hearts, in our thoughts and in our prayers. Lovingly remembered by his son’s widow Marina, Joanna, Angela and Trevor, Veronica and Julian, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

BONNICI. In loving memory of MARTIN on the fourth anniversary of his passing to eternal life, March 15, 2022, and of GAYLE, on the 23rd anniversary of her untimely death on March 19, 2003. Forever in our thoughts and prayers. Sadly missed by Tessa, Lisa, Sarah, Faye, Janis, in-laws and grandchildren. Lord, grant them eternal rest.

De MARCO. In remembrance of my beloved wife JANE who passed away two years ago today. If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk in my garden forever. You are forever cherished in memories and ever present in my heart, my love. Henry.

DE MARCO – JANE. In loving memory of mum on the second anniversary of her sad loss. Although time has moved on, we still miss her deeply. We remember her love, her kindness, her support and the stability she brought to our lives. Her influence is still felt every day. She is loved, remembered and missed – today and always.
