Obituaries

AZZOPARDI. On November 24, THERESE, née Pace Bonello, of St Julian’s, aged 77, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Deeply missed and fondly remembered by her husband Godfrey, her daughter Natasha and her partner Braulio, her brothers and sisters, in-laws and their respective families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, November 27, at 8.45am, for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Qrendi cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GRUPPETTA. On November 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, ARTHUR, of Sliema, aged 81, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Beatrice, his sons Chris and his wife Rachel, and Stephen and his wife Grace, his beloved grandchildren Jacques, Hannah Mae, Jonathan and Alexandra, his brother Maurice and Mary Rose, his in-laws, nephews and nieces, relatives, friends and colleagues at Merlin Publishers. A funeral Mass to celebrate his life will be held tomorrow, Thursday, November 27, at 10am, at Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

PACE. The Franciscan Missionaries of Mary announce with sadness the passing of Sr CARMELINA PACE FMM who went to meet the Lord on November 25. She left to mourn her loss her brothers Alfred and his wife Pauline, Godfrey, her sister Doris Zarb and their families. Funeral Mass will take place at the Convent Chapel in Balzan today, Wednesday, November 26 at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

In Memoriam

BROWNRIGG – HENRY. In sweet remembrance of our dearest father who left us so suddenly 49 years ago today. Forever loved and deeply missed by his daughters Helen and Madlyn.

CARUANA – PAULINE. In loving memory of a devoted mother, today being the 38th anniversary of her death. Always remembered in our prayers. Her daughter Mary Fatima and son-in-law John Vassallo. Grant her eternal rest, O Lord.

MANDUCA – Major PETER MANDUCA. In loving memory on the anniversary of his death. His family.

MICOVIC. In memory of MICHAEL, a dear brother and uncle, on the sixth anniversary of his death. God, we are grateful to you for giving us the time he shared with us on earth. Please look after him in Your loving arms. “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that I will seek after; That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the Lord and to enquire in his temple”. SPITERI – Mgr LORENZO SPITERI. Today the 23rd anniversary of his meeting with the Lord. Never forgotten by his cousin Laurie and family. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

ROSE MIFSUD BONNICI (23.12.1936 – 26.11.2005) - In loving memory of a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, being the 20th anniversary of her demise. Always in our thoughts and prayers. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Antoine, her children Tonio and Pamela, Maria, Paula, Roberta, Clara and Adrian, her grandchildren Michela, Cristina and Stefano, relatives and friends. Mass for the repose of her soul will be said today at 6.30pm at the Dar tal-Kleru chapel, Birkirkara. Lord, grant her and our dearest Enrica Rose eternal rest.
