CUSCHIERI. On October 17 MAURICE TIMOTHY of Sydney, Australia, aged 89, passed away peacefully, after a short illness, so bravely borne. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving and devoted daughters Louise and Marianne and her husband Ian, his beloved grandchildren Reece and Jessica, his sisters Imelda Borg Bartolo and Ethel Buttigieg and his brother Alfred and his wife Mona, his sister-in-law Marthese, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. His laying to rest will be held on Monday, October 29, in Sydney, Australia, and a Mass for his repose is being held on the same day at 6.30pm at the Hilltop Gardens chapel, Naxxar. Maurice was a loving husband to Joan (deceased), cherished dad of Louise, Marianne, Giannine (deceased), wonderful father-in-law to Ian and proud and loved nannu to Reece and Jessica. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

ENGERER. On October 24, GIOVANNA FRANCESCA (known as Janey), of Sliema, aged 103, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Lord. She leaves to mourn her loss her loving and devoted daughters Lucienne, widow of Saviour Caruana, Christine and her husband Alfred Micallef, Angele and her husband Emanuel D’Anastasi and Anthony and his wife Marica, her grandchildren, her brother John Cauchi Gera, of Australia, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today, Friday, October 26, at 2pm at the Balluta Carmelite parish church, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers please but donations to charity homes would be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

FORMOSA. On Sunday, October 21, at Mater Dei Hospital, ADELINA (Lina), née Papagiorco-pulo, widow of Magistrate John Formosa, at the age of 96. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Elizabeth (Betty) and her husband Joe Messina and Margaret Rose and her husband Stanley Sullivan. She will be sorely missed by her grandchildren and their spouses Denise and Mario, John and Maria, Malcolm and Mufy, Ian and Philipa, Lara and Darin, her great-grandchildren Ellie Marie, Christian, George, Luke, Thomas and Oliver. She also leaves to mourn her loss her brothers and sisters, in-laws, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 9.30am at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, followed by private interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers please but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. May the Lord grant her eternal rest. A prayer is solicited.

MARLIN. On October 21, CHRISTIAN, residing in Ta’ Xbiex, in a tragic accident. He leaves to mourn his loss his only son Robert (Bobby), his loving mother Nathalie, his father Roger, his brother Dana and his grandmother Carmen Spiteri together with his uncle Norman Spiteri and his wife Mireille, his aunt Maureen Borg and her husband Stephen, his ex-wife Svetlana and her partner Paolo Fontana, as well as many other relatives and numerous friends. The funeral will take place today, Wednesday, October 24, at 2pm at St John of the Cross church, Ta’ Xbiex, where Mass will be said followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. “Do not be afraid, if you were afraid I would be hurt. “Darling child rest your heart on mine and I will take you into the happy upper room of my servants and my friends.” Lord, keep him in your loving arms. 

TALIANA. On October 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, CHARLES of Ta’ Xbiex, aged 64, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmen, his children Carla and Sandro and his wife Claudia, his grandchildren Cheryl and Nicolas, his brothers and sisters and their families, his in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, October 25, at 1.15pm for St John of the Cross church, Ta’ Xbiex, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
