Golden Wedding

Mr LAURENCE GRECH and Ms LILIAN AZZOPARDI

The wedding took place on September 25, 1975, at St Aloysius College Chapel, Birkirkara, between LAURENCE, son of Lorenzo and Vincenza Grech of Msida, and LILIAN, daughter of Nazzareno and Antonia Azzopardi of Birkirkara. Nuptial Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Prof. Maurice Eminyan, SJ, and Canon Joseph Debono. Congratulations to mum and dad from Gerald and Martina, Edward and Louise, and Robert and Claire, and grandchildren Andrea, Katrina, Jamie and Nicholas.

Obituaries

MAGRO. On September 23, LOREDANA, aged 57, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, surrounded by her loving family. She will always be loved and cherished by her husband Bryan, her daughters Niamh and Sinead, her father Godfrey Testa, her brothers, sisters, in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral Mass will be held tomorrow, Friday, September 26, at 2pm, at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Friends of Don Bosco – Malta in aid of Burundi Street Children are greatly appreciated.  May the Lord grant her eternal rest. The family would like to express their gratitude toward the staff in Palliative Care Ward at SAMOC.

MAHONEY. On September 24, Fr LEONARD MAHONEY, O.Carm., aged 92. He leaves to mourn his loss his Carmelite brethren, his sister Marlene and her husband Tonio Portughese, his niece Alexia, his nephews Kevin, Clive and Keith, other relatives and friends. Fr Leonard will be lying in repose at Balluta parish church tomorrow from 9.30am. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 2.15pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

FARRUGIA. Treasured memories of our dearest father ANTHONY on the 27th anniversary of his passing to eternal life. LEEKS. In ever loving memory of WILLIAM who died under tragic circumstances 55 years ago today. Gone but never forgotten by his brother Franklin.

PIZZUTO. In loving memory of my beloved parents RONALD and MARYANN on the 40th anniversary of their tragic demise in France. Fondly remembered and very sadly missed by their daughter Nadya, son-in-law Vincent and grandson Duncan. A prayer is kindly solicited.
