Changes In Bus Routes

Bus number 47 operating at 1.30, 2, 2.30, 3, 3.30, 4.00, 4.30, 5, 5.30, 6.30 and 7.37 p.m. from Valletta to Golden Bay will be extended to Manikata and the Ballut area as from Monday.

Route 75, departing from Savoy to Valletta at 7.30 a.m. and 3.20 p.m. will as from Monday depart from St Andrew's at 7.25 a.m. and 3.10 p.m. and will pass though Spinola, Balluta, the Ferries, Manwel Dimech Street/Prince of Wales, Rue d'Argens, Ta' Xbiex, Msida, Mater Dei Hospital and St Luke's Hospital.

Route 675, leaving from St Andrew's to Mater Dei at 7.05 a.m. and 3.05 p.m. will operate via Pembroke, St Julians, Sliema, Gzira, Ta' Xbiex, Msida and Mater Dei Hospital.

Route 890, departing from Siggiewi at 3 p.m., will incorporate Qormi.

Route 75, leaving from Zebbug at 3.15 p.m., from Qormi at 3.30 p.m., from Siggiewi at 3.20 p.m., from Dingli at 3 p.m., from Gudja at 3 p.m., from Qrendi at 3.15 p.m. and from Zurrieq at 3.15 p.m. will be no longer be in operation from Monday.

Route 75, departing from Marsascala at 3 p.m., will now display route number 300.

Route 75, departing from Senglea and Vittoriosa at 3.15 p.m., will be abolished as from Monday. Commuters should use bus route 300.

Route 75, leaving from Qormi at 7.30 a.m., will operate via St Luke's Hospital and Mater Dei Hospital.

Route 42, departing from Valletta to Birkirkara, is being extended to Mater Dei Hospital and the University and will then proceed to the terminus.

Route 75, departing from Mgarr at 3 p.m., will be diverted to the Birkirkara bypass, Mater Dei Hospital and onto Valletta.

English Language Courses

The Royal British Legion is holding English language courses at its headquarters at 111, Triq Melita, Valletta for primary and secondary school students on Wednesdays for Forms 3, 4 and 5 and on Saturdays for Years 4, 5 and 6 and Forms 1 and 2.

The courses are also being held at the Ninu Cremona Lyceum, in Victoria.

Pelican Crossing

Installation works on a pelican crossing near the church in Xemxija will be carried out between Monday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Traffic will not be obstructed.

Road Closed

The slip road linking the Sta Venera/Marsa bypass to Triq Dicembru 13 is closed to traffic until further notice due to emergency works.

Christ The King Band's Annual Concert

The Christ the King Band of Paola will be holding its annual concert on December 9 at 7.30 p.m. at the Coastline Hotel, Salina.

The concert will be dedicated to Joseph Boffa on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his appointment as society president.

The programme includes a selection of works by J. Ramos, Donizetti, Hermann Dostal, Vangelis, Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota, Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus and Maltese composers David Sammut, Joseph Vella and Joseph Stivala.

The public is invited and entrance is free. Transport will be provided to the hotel from the band club at 6.45 p.m. and also after the concert, at a cost of 50c (€1.16).

Van Missing

A white Toyota Hiace, registration number ABG 774, was reported stolen from a garage in Gzira on Wednesday night. Anyone spotting the van, which has sliding doors and logos on the sides, is asked to contact its owner on 2137 0103 or the police.

Power Cut

The electricity supply will be suspended in San Gwann from 7 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. today in Il-Huttaf, L-Alwett, Ic-Cawl, G. Despott, Il-Gardell, Ir-Rummien and Il-Malvizz streets and part of Tas-Sliema, Ir-Russett and Is-Summien streets.

Discussion On Blood Transfusion

The Mosta Philanthropic Association will host a discussion on blood transfusion on Monday at 7.15 p.m. at the Razzett tal-Markiz Mallia Tabone, Triq Wied il-Ghasel, Mosta. The public is also invited to donate blood on December 6 and 7 from 8.30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the same venue.
