Obituary

ATTARD. On April 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, BARTHOLOMEW, passed away peacefully, aged 82, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved children Henry and his wife Sandra, Albert and Maryanne, Marion and her husband Richard, his beloved grandchildren Sasha and Robert, Janine and Roberto, Katrina and Steve, Sarah-Jane, Kris and Edward, his sister Maria, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.30 a.m. for the Msida parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, and the Renal Unit, Mater Dei Hospital, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MICALLEF. On April 17, at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton, RAYMOND, aged 50, formerly of Sliema, residing in Birmingham, fell asleep peacefully in death after a long and painful illness which he bore with great courage and fortitude, comforted by the hope of the resurrection in Jehovah's new system under Christ's Kingdom. He leaves to mourn his great loss his devoted wife Diane, née Murphy, his brothers Louis, Carmel, Patrick and Joseph and their respective wives, his sisters Antoinette Caruana, Maria Decarlo, Georgette Pisani and Rita Sarè and their respective husbands, his mother-in-law Esther, sister-in-law Mandy and her husband David Bassoopun, many nephews and nieces, his spiritual brothers and sisters in the congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses he was associated with in Malta and in Birmingham, other relatives and friends. The funeral takes place in Birmingham on Monday.

SELVAGI. On April 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, WILLIAM VINCENT, aged 85, passed away peacefully, comforted by the Rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Ann, née Leone Enriquez, his children Maryanne, Raphael and his wife Joan, and Christopher and his wife Lucienne, his much loved grandchildren, Edward, Andrew, Lara and her boyfriend Ben Mangion, Joanna, and Paula and her boyfriend John Paul Caruana Galizia, his sister Jane Harrison, his sister-in-law Vivian North, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, will be much appreciated. The family wish to give special thanks to all the staff at Medical Ward 5, Mater Dei Hospital, for their dedicated care.

XUEREB. On April 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, known as Peppi ċ-Ċumbu of Nadur, Gozo, aged 68, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Ġuża, his daughter Maria, his son Robert and his wife Claire, his beloved grandchildren Kelly, Andrew, Elena and Carlos, his brothers Paul and John, his sister Maria and their spouses, Carmen, widow of his brother Martin, his sister-in-law Maria, his many nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital today at 4.45 p.m. for St Peter and St Paul Basilica, Nadur, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 5.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Qala cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Requiem Mass

In memory of HELEN SALOMONE REYNAUD. One month since her passing away a Mass for the repose of her soul is to be said tomorrow at 6.30 p.m. at the chapel of the Sacred Heart Convent, St Julians. The attendance of friends and relatives will be appreciated.

In Memoriam

CAMILLERI. In loving memory of PAUL who went to meet the Risen Lord on April 24, 2005. Deeply missed by his daughters Marquita and Elizabeth, his grandchildren Lara and Samuel, relatives and friends. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CARUANA. Loving memories of REGGIE, today the 13th anniversary of his demise. Sadly missed by his wife Lucy, his children Harold and Mariella, in-laws, and his grandchildren Raissa, Miguel, Nicole and Andrea.

MICALLEF - MARIO. In memory of a beloved husband, father and grandfather on the 10th anniversary of his death. Never forgotten by his wife Catherine, his sons Jacob, Isaac and Leah, his granddaughter Kayah, his sisters and families, relatives and friends. A Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated today at 8.15 p.m. at the church of the Holy Cross, Capuchins' Friary, Floriana.

MUSCAT - LUCY. In loving memory of a cherished mother on the 11th anniversary of her demise. Always in our hearts and prayers. Her sons Alfred and Joe and their families.

PUGLISEVICH - Chev. JOSEPH MARY PUGLISEVICH, BEM, 1905-1969, playwright, journalist and politician. On the 40th anniversary of his demise. Remembered with fondest love and respect by his four children and respective spouses and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ever in our hearts and prayers.

SALIBA. Unfading, loving memories of our dear father CARMELO, today the anniversary of his being called to rest in the arms of the Lord. Always in the heartfelt thoughts and prayers of George, Violet de Marco and Madeleine Sophie James.
