GRIMA. Born at St James Hospital, Zabbar, on July 4, to Lyana née Ciantar and Antoine, God's precious gift of a first-born daughter, RAJAA. Special thanks to the obstetrician, midwives Anna Croucher, Anna Calleja and all the theatre staff for their care and support.
Marriages
Mr OSMAN NECIPOGLU and Miss SERA CELIK COPPINI
The marriage between OSMAN, son of Mr Omer and Mrs Zeynep Necipoglu and SERA, only daughter of Mr Taner and Mrs Carol Celik, took place in Istanbul, Turkey, on Saturday, July 25. A reception was afterwards held at Club Cubulku 29 on the shores of the Bosphorus. The couple are spending their honeymoon in Bali Kol and Samui.

The marriage took place on August 2, 1959, at St George's Basilica, Victoria, Gozo. A thanksgiving Mass will be said at the same basilica today at 11 a.m., officiated by Canon John B. Cremona, nephew of Mr Cassar, and Mgr Alfred Xuereb, Pope Benedict's secretary. Congratulations from your son George and his wife Rita, and their children George, Giannella, Deborah and Paul. May Our Lady of Ta' Pinu and St George bestow on you their blessings throughout the coming years.
Obituary
GALEA. On August 1, at her residence, LILIAN, of Valletta, aged 58, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Lino, her children Christine and her husband Andrè Ellul, and Martin, her grandchildren Ryan and Luke, her brothers Joe and his wife Mary De Giovanni, and Twanny, her mother-in-law Agnes, her brother-in-law Victor Galea, her aunts Lucy Saliba and Carmela Zahra, her nephews and nieces Ruth, Sarah, Michael and Emmanuel, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.30 a.m. for Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery chapel, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement will be appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.
MUSCAT. On July 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTHONY, aged 75, of Mellieha, residing at St Paul's Bay, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Doris, his children Marthese and her husband Francis Bezzina, and Stephen and his wife Christine, his grandchildren Rebecca, and Christine and her fiancé Jonathan, his brothers and sisters Carmena, Giovanna, Adelina, Rita, Charlie and Alfred and their spouses, brother- and sisters-in-law and their spouses and their families, his cousins, nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.45 a.m. for Our Lady of Sorrows parish church, St Paul's Bay, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at Hniena Divina cemetery, St Paul's Bay. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
