Mr NUNZIO GALDES and Ms ROSE CASSAR
The marriage took place on November 19, 1959, at St Paul Shipwrecked Collegiate church, Valletta. Best wishes from their children Sandra, Stefano, Paul, Roberta, Marina, Romina and their families and their 13 grandchildren. A Mass will be celebrated on November 22 at 10.45 a.m. at St Paul's Collegiate church, Valletta.

Obituary

ATTARD MONTALTO - SAMUEL. On November 15, went home to the Lord at the tender age of 16. He leaves to mourn his loss his parents Nick and Linda, his sisters Rebekah, Hannah and her fiancé Dave, and Abigail, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, members of Palm Springs church and many, many friends. There will be a celebration of Samuel's life at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel, today at 9 a.m., followed by interment in the family tomb. The family have requested not to wear black in keeping with the spirit of his happy life.

AZZOPARDI. On November 18, at Villa M. SSma Annunziata, Balzan, Sister FLORENTIA (Rita) of the Sisters of Charity, aged 89, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity, her sister Melina, her brothers Carmelo and Mabli and their respective wives, her sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated today at 9 a.m. at the chapel of the convent of the Sisters of Charity, 55, Birbal Street, Balzan, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

PORTELLI. On November 18, Fr DOMINIC PORTELLI, OSA, aged 69, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss the Augustinian Fathers, his sisters, Sr Beniamina, OSA, Jane, Josephine and her husband Peter Farrugia, Margaret and her husband Victor Abela, Evelyn and her husband Godfrey Harmsworth, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves the Augustinian Oratory, Tarxien, on November 21 at 9.30 a.m. for St Nicholas church, Lampuka Street, Tarxien, where a concelebrated Mass praesente cadavere will be said, followed by interment in the grave of the Augustinian Province at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Caritas dinner dance

The Caritas Malta Christmas dinner dance will be held on December 5 at the Portomaso Suite, Malta Hilton, at 8 p.m. Benefactors and friends of Caritas will have the opportunity to meet in a festive atmosphere and, at the same time, give a helping hand to Caritas in its free-of-charge services to people in need. Entertainment will be provided by The Quacks, a group of medical consultants who play 1960s and 1970s music. The three-course dinner is being offered at €30.

Divorce in Ireland

The Cana Movement will tomorrow hold a conference on Divorce In Ireland - The Experience Of Another Catholic Country. The guest speaker will be David Quinn, chairman of Iona Institute in Ireland and religious affairs commentator on radio and TV. The conference starts at 7 p.m. and will be held at the Catholic Institute (Sala San Pawl), Floriana.
