CASOLANI. On January 9, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPHINE, née Camilleri, widow of Maurice, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children David and Simone, Marcel and Dorothy, Anna Busuttil, Sue and Paul Psaila, her precious grandchildren Simon and Denise, Ian and Lara, Niki, Janika and Edward Busuttil, Karl, Marc, Mandy and Ben, her great-grandchildren, her sister Mary, wife of Joe Lapira, her sisters-in-law Maria Casolani, Tessa Camilleri and Sally Camilleri, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on January 15 at 2 p.m. for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CHILD. On January 9, at Mater Dei Hospital, PATRICIA MARGORIE, of Coulsdon, UK, residing in Mellieħa, aged 64, passed away peacefully. Loved and remembered by her husband Mike, her family and many friends. The funeral service will be held on January 14 at 11.30 a.m. at St Paul's Anglican Pro-Cathedral, Valletta, followed by interment at Mellieħa cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated.

VELLA. On January 11, ĠUŻEPP (Il-Ġinġer) of Victoria, aged 87, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Pawla, his sons George, Anton and his wife Ines, Vince, Noel and his wife Miriam, and Robert and his wife Josette, his daughters Helen and her husband Joe Debrincat, Rose and her husband George Sultana, Marlene and her husband Eugene Tabone, his son-in-law Joe Apap, widower of his daugher Maria, his daughter-in-law Maria, widow of his son Pawlu, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated today at 4 p.m. at St George's Basilica, Victoria, followed by interment in the family grave at St Mary Cemetery, Xewkija. No flowers by request but donations to Arka Foundation (Gozo) will be appreciated. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.

ZAMMIT. On January 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, PAUL, aged 85, of Valletta residing at Birkirkara. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmelina, née Galea, his children, Jane, Christine, Albert and his wife Margaret, and Peter and his wife Doreen, his adorable grandchildren Maria and her fiancé Lawrence, Paul, Karl and Andrew, his sister Sr Benigna, his sister-in-law Mary, widow of his brother Carmelo, as well as other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at St Theresa's Sanctuary, Birkirkara, today at 2.30 p.m.

New letter boxes

MaltaPost plc announced that two new public letter boxes have been installed in Prof. Walter Ganado Street, Pembroke (opposite the ITS) and in Marfa Road, Ċirkewwa. Service to these letterboxes started yesterday. Collection times are after 7 p.m. on weekdays and after 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
