Obituary
BORG. On March 4, RENATA née Galeotti, aged 87, of Firenze, Italy, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Aldo, her daughter Isabelle and her partner Graham Cooper, and Bianca widow of her brother Giuseppe of Firenze, her niece Carla and her husband Bruno Benini, and other nephews and nieces in Italy; in Malta, her in-laws Fr Reginald Borg, Aurea and her husband Frank Migneco, Maria and her husband Joseph Spiteri, Yvonne Borg widow of Wilfred, Anthony Mifsud widower of Elda, Jane Borg widow of Lino, Rita Borg widow of Ivo, and their respective families, also Anthony and Blanche Cremona, many friends, and la Communità Italiana di Malta. She was much loved and will be greatly missed. The funeral leaves today from Mater Dei Hospital at 1.30 p.m., followed by Mass praesente cadavare at the chapel of Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery at 2 p.m. No flowers by request, but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be much appreciated. MARGUERAT. On March 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, YVONNE of Sliema, aged 69, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Claude, her sisters and brothers, Josephine, Louise, Gino, Erwin, Ronald and their respective spouses, her husband's sisters and brother, Laura, Carol, Celine, Marielle, Maud and Cynthia and their respective spouses, besides other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30 p.m. for the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the same cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
PACE MOORE. On March 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALFRED, aged 81, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife Miriam, née Caruana, his daughters Marisa and her husband Andrew Camilleri and Lucienne and her husband Jean Gaffiero, his most precious granddaughters Rebecca and Katrina, his sister Marion and his brother Victor, his nephews and nieces, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today for St Paul Shipwrecked parish church, Valletta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.15 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.

Power cuts
There will be power cuts as follows today:
From 8 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. in Etna, Għasel, Għerien, Għoljiet, Miġbħa, Naħal, Narċis, Plejju, Sagħtar, Salini l-Qodma, Dħin, Luħ, Muna, Qamħ, Sifa, Spratt Thomas, Xehda, Snajjin, Meżeż, Ħasira, Kannestru and Kbira streets in Mellieħa.
There will be power cuts tomorrow from 8.30 to 4 p.m. in parts of St Paul, St Ursola and Melita streets and Castille Place, Valletta.
Lenten sermons
Fr Michael Ross SDB and Joe Delanay will deliver Lenten sermons in English at St Patrick's church, Sliema at 7 p.m. between Monday and Friday.
Women's day run
The Maltese Olympic Committee will be holding a fun run/walk for women tomorrow, ahead of World Women's Day on Monday.
The event will start and finish at the Dolmen Resort Hotel, Buġibba. Registration is at 8 a.m. followed by a 10-minute warm-up exercise before the 8.30 a.m. and 9 a.m. start times for runners and walkers respectively.
Prayer meeting
The committee Moviment Madonna tal-Konsagrazzjoni will be holding a prayer meeting at Girgenti, Siġġiewi tomorrow at 4 p.m.
