Obituary
DENNING. Suddenly, on March 11, PHILIP, aged 43. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his mother Irene and Tommy, his sister Rebekah and her husband Lou, his brother Giles and his wife Mary, his niece Dominique and his nephew Christopher, relatives and numerous friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30 p.m. for the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, (new church in San Pawl tat-Tarġa), where a service will be held at 3 p.m., followed by interment at Naxxar cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Razzett tal-Ħbiberija, Marsascala, will be greatly appreciated. Loved and missed always.
GATT. On March 13, at her home in Mosta, MARIA, aged 79, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her beloved husband Ġużeppi, her children Salvatore and his wife Vinnie, John and his wife Pauline, Jimmy and his wife Joyce, Josephine and her husband Kalċidon Attard, Charlie and his wife Natalie, and Doris and her husband Mario Scicluna, her grandchildren Jason, Claudine, Chris, Jevon, James, Joseph, Nathalie, Luana, Francesca, Kristina and Kurt, her great-grandchildren Michaela, Mariah, Carl and Luke, her brothers and sisters in America, her husband's family, other relatives and many friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.45 p.m. for Mosta parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 3.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family vault at Mosta cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
GAUCI. On March 13, GREGORY, church warden, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Maria Anna, his daughters Josanne and Joan and her husband Brian Said, his sisters Mary, widow of Richard McKeon, Jean and her husband Joe Abela, Jo and her husband Frankie Bonnici of Melbourne, Australia, Connie Warren of Swansea, Wales, Antoinette and her husband Charles Farrugia, Stella and her husband Joe Portelli, his sister-in-law Polly, widow of Anthony Cilia, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for the collegiate church of St Lawrence, Vittoriosa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family regret they cannot receive visitors at home. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Sliema bazaar
A bazaar and carwash will be held in Sliema to raise funds for the feast of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The bazaar will be held at Padova Hall, located at the side of the parish church, between Friday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The carwash will be held near the hall in Dun Pawl Vella Street on Saturday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Sliema Band concert
The Sliema Philharmonic Society will present its annual Celebrity Concert for Europe at the Sir Temi Zammit Hall Auditorium, University of Malta, Msida on April 10 at 7.30 p.m. under the patronage of President George Abela.
Tickets for the concert at a donation of €10 can be obtained from the Sliema Band Club, 34, St Trophimus Str, Sliema, Aquamarina, 48 Gżira Road, Gżira or from C&C Techniques, Constitution Street, Mosta or by calling 9944 3460 or 2131 7137.
Occupational standards
The Malta Qualifications Council, in collaboration with the Malta Printing Industry Association, will hold a conference on the launch of occupational standards with a particular focus on the printing industry.
The conference will be held on March 23 from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at the Vivaldi Hotel, St Julians. The registration fee of €15 covers lunch and printed material.
